Development Feasibility / Fiscal & Economic Impact Analysis
Client: DC Deputy Mayors Office of Planning and Economic Development; DC Office of Planning; District Department of Transportation (Washington, DC)

Served as a Project Coordinator for Mosaic Urban Partners, development advisor to the District of Columbia for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center reuse plan. 67.5 acres of the Walter Reed base will be purchased from the army by the District and converted into a master-planned development via a private developer. Plans call for up to 2,000 residential units, 200,000 square feet of retail space, 750,000 square feet of office space, nonprofit users, 40 acres of open space, and light rail and bike access. Completed a market demand analysis and a fiscal and economic impact analysis, and provided recommendations regarding development feasibility and strategy.


Restaurant Market Opportunity Analysis
Client: Sixty State Place, LLC (Albany, NY)

Completed a market opportunity assessment for the commercial component of a proposed mixed-use conversion of the historic Key Bank building in downtown Albany. The study satisfied the guidelines of the New York Main Streets Program Anchor Grant, and analyzed the opportunity for the implementation of a high-end restaurant based on the physical location, the competitive supply, and the expected market demand.


Market Analysis and Community Survey
Client: Barracks Row Entertainment, LLC (Washington, DC)
Supervised By: Barracks Row Main Street (Washington, DC)

Completed a three-part study analyzing the suitability of the Barracks Row Main Street commercial corridor in Washington, DC for additional restaurant development. The study included an in-depth analysis of existing conditions, case study comparisons of Barracks Row and other comparable commercial districts, and a community survey of area residents to identify and quantify neighborhood attitudes regarding commercial activity on the Row.


Development of Marketing Materials
Client: Metro West Housing Solutions (Lakewood, CO)

Aided in the creation of marketing materials for the transit-oriented Lamar Station apartment development (mixed affordable and market-rate units) in Lakewood, CO.


Promotion Planning and Audience Development
Client: Graduate School of Education; University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA)

Planned and managed the marketing and promotion of a University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education conference entitled "Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's Jobs: The Policy, Practice, and Research Issues."

Client: Lutron Electronics, Inc. (Coopersburg, PA)

Guided Lutron, an international lighting controls company, in the process of securing public sector contracts in the City of Philadelphia, PA.


City-Institutional Facilitation / Project Management
Client: Institute for Urban Research; University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA)

Worked closely with Mayor Richard Gray of Lancaster, PA, Mayor Kim Bracey of York, PA, and Mayor Dana Redd of Camden, NJ, as well as their staffs, to develop and prepare designs issues for each to present for the Mayors Institute on City Design (MICD) conference held by the University of Pennsylvania.


Performing Arts Center Case Study Development
Client: Institute for Urban Research; University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA)

Completed six instructional cases for the Institute for Urban Research at the University of Pennsylvania. These cases explore the intricate development processes of major urban institutional buildings, as well as the political, financial, and operational relationships between the public sector, the private sector, and nonprofit organizations. The cases will be published in 2012 as part of a text book by the University of Pennsylvania.
